The Deed with the Duke is out TODAY, please help spread the word!
There's a lot going on, but we're finally at release day, friends.
Hello, readers!
Today, Thursday, September 26th is release day for The Deed with the Duke and the book will be available on Amazon to buy, to read in KU, or to purchase in paperback.
Here are some ways that you can spread the word and support my indie, debut, diverse, historical romance release, I would greatly appreciate it if you can make the time to help boost!
The book is live on Amazon today, so you can leave reviews there now. If you are an ARC reader who reviewed on Goodreads, StoryGraph, or BookBub, please make sure to copy and paste your review to Amazon as well. Remember to avoid using phrases like “ARC copy,” “early copy,” or “free copy,” because Amazon will not post reviews with that language.
Add The Deed with the Duke to your Goodreads and StoryGraph shelves, and BookBub Wishlist, this helps make the book visible to more readers.
Create a post and share to your social media. I’ve created a folder with instructions, image, and text assets for you to use to help spread the word. Instagram is prioritizing original content so using the assets to create your own graphics is best for the algorithm.
You can also share my Instagram post to your social media if that is easier.
Here is some praise for The Deed with the Duke I shared on Instagram. Thank you to Alexandra Vasti and Katherine Grant for these amazing blurbs! I love Alexandra’s Halifax Hellions novellas, and for Katherine to mention my book alongside Tessa Dare and Courtney Milan is a dream come true. If you enjoyed The Wallflower Wager by Tessa Dare, and The Duke Who Didn’t by Courtney Milan, two forever-favorite historical romances of mine as well, then you’ll love The Deed with the Duke.
As always thank you, Sri’s Savitastack readers, for your support 🩷. The lead up to this release has been been particularly stressful these last couple weeks, both for personal reasons and because as indie authors we wear so many hats and try to balance so many different responsibilities outside of writing, along with the mundane necessities that stitch each day together and must get done. These are some of the growing pains that come with being a debut indie author, and along with so much going on in the world right now, it can be tough to grasp for joy and hope, to fight to feel something optimistic when uncertainty and ambiguity is all around us, and to pull from a well that might not be deep enough at the moment to fuel us and our pursuits.
This is what makes writing and reading romance so vital. It’s why, as part of my journey with grief, I wrote The Deed with the Duke. I wanted to give myself a gentle, kind, warm, and cozy world to live in for a while—to examine my own healing through the way that Raaz grapples with grief and Camelia decides to stop punishing herself for her past. It’s a quieter story about the internal conflicts that arise with trying something new, and choosing someone new. Above all, it’s about being brave enough to trust the good things in front of you. To dream and hope, and work to make those wishes a reality. To honor the past, and learn how to move forward. To start over, begin again, and build something new. To believe in a beautiful, brighter, loving future.
If you, too, could use a taste of lightness, low stakes, and low angst in your life—if you are also craving some magic, whimsy, and hope, then may my story give you the warm hug you desire.
Today, readers, this book is yours. I hope you have fun reading The Deed with the Duke, and feel right at home in Robin Hood’s Bay with Raaz, Camelia, and all their animal friends. Have a raspberry pastry while you’re there, for me.
I’m already looking forward to revisiting Robin Hood’s Bay as I settle into the coziness of the autumn season and continue drafting Thanya’s story (Book 2). I’m also hoping to make time for some 🍁 Fluffy Fall 🍂 reads as I keep the lighter romance vibes close to my heart during these stressful and busy times.
Happy reading,
Sri
